Shrapnel Wound Management & Arm Splinting

After tending to Captain Chan’s injuries, managing to control the severe bleeding and stabilizing her broken arm, the team felt a cautious optimism.

Based on the designated Extraction Point locations, you decide to move towards CHIPWI to the hills overlooking the Village of CHILOI.  Your decision was strategic.  From this vantage point, you’ll maintain good observation over the area and the flexibility to choose either the primary or alternate Extraction Point, depending on how the situation evolves.

As you ventured away from the crash site, enveloped by the dense jungle’s silence, complications began to surface.  The route was more arduous than anticipated, significantly challenging the team’s speed and stealth.  Thick foliage snagged at Captain Chan’s medical bandages, and the uneven terrain tested her endurance.  An unexpected encounter with a small stream required a careful crossing to prevent exacerbating her injuries.

Upon reaching the hills overlooking CHILOI, it was evident the journey had taken its toll.  Captain Chan’s condition, though stable, showed signs of worsening from the move.  Her pain seemed managed, but the fatigue from the ordeal was unmistakable as you reached for your radio to provide another update to callsign GUARDIAN flying above.
