Immediate Extraction with In-Transit Care

Prioritizing immediacy, the team embarked on an evacuation with Captain Chan, administering care as they moved.  The decision to forego prolonged on-site treatment for continuous care during extraction was driven by the urgency of their situation.

Based on the designated Extraction Point locations, you decide to move directly towards CHIPWI to the hills overlooking the Village of CHILOI. Your decision was strategic. From this vantage point, you’ll maintain good observation over the area and the flexibility to choose either primary or alternate Extraction Point, depending on how the situation evolves.

As you ventured away from the crash site, enveloped by the dense jungle’s silence, complications began to surface.  The decision to move immediately, however, proved advantageous as the team managed to maintain a steady pace. The ongoing in-transit care ensured that Captain Chan’s condition remained stable, allowing them to navigate the jungle’s obstacles more fluidly than expected, their progress unhindered by the need for frequent medical stops.

Upon reaching the hills overlooking CHILOI, it was evident the journey had taken its toll.  Yet, surprisingly, Captain Chan’s condition was relatively stable, a testament to the efficacy of the in-transit care.  Fatigue was evident, but the continuous attention she received mitigated the worst of the journey’s impact.  With the river in sight and CHIPWI across it, the team paused to update callsign GUARDIAN, their spirits buoyed by the relative success of their evacuation thus far, ready to tackle the final challenge of their mission.
