Introduction
A brief overview of the Mission Retrospective process and how teams will use the collaboration workflow.
Use this collaboration board to capture the analysis, insights, and agreed actions from your Mission Retrospective.
Capture your teaming context and confirm whether you are working as a stable, intact team or teaming together for the first time/on-the-fly.
Review the mission timeline to build a shared understanding of what happened.
After reviewing the mission timeline, identify 2–5 Pivotal Moments that would be worth analyzing in Step 2.
Choose one pivotal moment from the list above to analyze.
Using a series of probing questions — both broadening and deepening — capture insights about your team’s dynamic.
Review the insights captured in Section B and synthesize them into 2–3 higher-level Core Insights. Do not add new raw observations here; combine and name what matters most.
Step 3 changes depending on whether the team is an Intact Team or Teaming-on-the-Fly. Return to Opening Context and select a Teaming Context so the correct action-planning prompts are shown.
Consider where each Core Insight shows up in your day-to-day working environment. How often do they occur? What is their impact on team effectiveness? Then select one to build your Plan of Action around.
