Navigating Crisis with Failure - Outcome

Option 7B-C: Ethical Closure and Environmental Restoration

Management Team Performance Review by Co-Chairs

Dear Team,

Six months have passed since the crucial decision to pursue Option 7B3, which emphasized ethical closure and environmental restoration as the strategy for winding down Amazonia’s operations in the Amazon Basin. We are pleased to report the outcomes of this choice.

This option, which prioritized fulfilling environmental responsibilities and gaining community goodwill, has proven to be the most responsible and ethical approach. It received highly positive public perception. While it incurred high environmental remediation costs and faced legal challenges, it demonstrated Amazonia’s commitment to ethical values.

Considering the commendable efforts and the complexity of the challenges, we are pleased to announce that the team will be offered a new placement within the parent company after the completion of the remaining 12 months of winding down activities.

Respectfully,
