Your team’s decision to pause production for a comprehensive impact assessment has led to several significant outcomes.  This choice allowed for a thorough understanding of the spill’s effects on the environment, local communities, and operations.  While it provided valuable insights, the time-consuming nature of the assessment allowed environmental damage to escalate beyond initial expectations.

Your two Co-Chairs have noted the effort to make informed decisions, and they acknowledge the importance of understanding the full scope of the crisis.
