Option 4: Controlled Recognition

You formally recognized the concern without allowing it to outrun leadership control.

The organization signals awareness and seriousness, while avoiding escalation. Attention is acknowledged; action is restrained.

What you have created is space—room to engage without committing the institution to a direction it may later regret.

That balance is delicate. Recognition raises expectation, even when it stops short of action.

What is no longer available is plausible unawareness. What remains unresolved is intent.

By early afternoon, recognition alone won’t slow momentum; it only raises expectations about what you will authorize next.
