Alternate Route

Opting for stealth over confrontation, the team veered off their planned route, embarking on a detour through the dense jungle that tested their endurance and ingenuity. This alternate path, while preserving their cover from enemy eyes, proved physically demanding, extending their journey by a taxing 2.5 hours. 

The challenging terrain was unkind to Captain Chan, whose existing injuries were compounded when she suffered a fall, exacerbating the trauma to her broken arm.  The team, too, faced its share of adversity, navigating through thickets that left them with scrapes and weariness. Yet, their commitment to circumvention over conflict bore fruit; they emerged from the dense foliage back on track, though significantly delayed, their stealth intact and their resolve undimmed, as they continued their push towards the Extraction Point.
