“A Trail of Trust”
Teaming Trust is the talk of the town these days, for good reasons. When it comes to Intelligent Teaming, creating an environment where all team members can speak freely and listen curiously is essential. In the end, you cannot leverage what remains hidden. But what is psychological safety, really? (hint: it’s not everyone being ultra-nice) and how do you go about crafting such an atmosphere? (hint: it’s not just the leader’s job)
“Vive la résistance!”
Ever felt like you’re trying to assemble an ‘intelligent’ team, but one member seems to have missed the memo, another has a perpetual tardiness habit, and the third seems to have a ‘no’ before ‘hello’? Ring any bells? To uncover the science of Intelligent Teaming, we have to look at the dynamics and the wisdom that underlie it.
“Decisions by Design”
Embracing diverse viewpoints within your team is just the beginning. True intelligent teaming means leveraging that vibrant tapestry of ideas when making tough decisions. Simply collecting diverse perspectives is not enough if we ultimately only push our own perspective forward, nod along with the leader, or follow the crowd during crucial moments. Intelligent Teaming is not about creating consensus, it is about getting to the best decision together.
“The Lion, The Mouse & The Mirror”
When dealing with teaming issues, we are quick to point fingers, place blame on our leaders, keep to ourselves, or focus on tasks rather than bravely discuss underlying dynamics. Yet, here’s the scoop: most issues in teaming lead straight back to power. Intelligent Teaming is all about knowing how to purposefully use the power of teamwork. Yet, to do so, we first need to gain a few PowerTools.
“From Intent to Impact”
When it comes to teaming, we often rush to analyze the problem, assign blame, or retreat into familiar habits rather than lean into the challenge of testing what we’ve learned. Here’s the truth: teaming is a skill, and like any skill, it requires practice. Teaming in Action is all about putting Intelligent Teaming principles into play—experimenting with PowerTools in a safe, hands-on environment to uncover what truly drives team success. This is where the real growth happens.
I facilitate learning journeys for teams and aim to ignite and support their sustainability, well-being and performance. Whether that is through delivering PowerClasses, facilitating team meetings, keynote speaking or through my illustrative arts and visual facilitation.
My background comes from a 20-year love affair in education across the globe, from primary to university levels, in which I’ve been a curious explorer in the realm of group dynamics. It brought me here, today, supporting organizations, leaders, and teams in practicing the concept of Intelligent Teaming.
My specialty and passion lies in unfolding the magic of constructive team dynamics and bridging this with real tools that create real impact. How teams collaborate, make decisions, solve problems, communicate, navigate boundaries, handle conflicts, and how to visualize, translate and optimize those in a way that allows us to truly benefit from working together, is where I belong.
Specifically, I aim to support organizations and initiatives that champion diversity, inclusivity, and psychological safety. To me, these are essential building blocks of intelligent teaming, yet tend to create the biggest say-do gap in teams. Not because the willingness is not there, but because the practical how-to is
missing. We need a bridge. I’d like to be one.
